AQUA Yoga
FOR PREGNANCY

PRE-NATAL AND POST NATAL

Water is the natural space for the unborn baby but it’s also wonderful for the Mother. Most of us enjoy water in some way; if we cannot swim we may still love to relax in a warm bath or spa. Our life began in the warm salt of amniotic fluid.

The unborn child is in a safe space surrounded by water that supports it. We as Mothers carrying our child and the weight can sometimes be a strain on the body.

Aqua yoga for pregnancy gives women the opportunity to enjoy freedom of movement supported in a water environment.

Exercising in the water is refreshing and rejuvenating! With water supporting your growing uterus, you will experience improved circulation and a feeling of 'weightlessness'.

Buoyancy also allows you to exercise on your back without restricting oxygen flow to you and your baby.

Flexibility and mobility are increased and women are able to feel more comfortable while promoting health for mother and baby.

Breathing is expanded and the circulation improves.

Movements practiced in the last few weeks of pregnancy will encourage the baby into a favourable position for birth.

Each class includes cardio, strength training and flexibility.
