At last the sun is shining and it feels like summer has arrived.

This newsletter has lots of new items for teachers and students and those who are just interested... see the Goa Retreat planned for 2009!

Let's begin with classes over the summer period.

	Monday Parklands 7-30 to 9pm Anna will be covering all of July and the 4.11th August. Berni will be covering these over the last 2 weeks of August 18, 25.
	Tuesday Squash Club London Rd. 7 to 8-30pm Anne-Marie will carry on teaching these until the 1st July Tess will be covering 8,15,22,29 of July. There will be no classes in August. And will be back on the 2nd September.
	Wednesday Parklands 9-30 to 11am Christine will cover these for all the month of August.
	Thursday Parklands 7-30 to 9pm Anna will cover these classes for all the months of July and August and the first week of September.

We would like to welcome on board 3 new team members!

Natalie Barton from Leicester will be assisting on both Levels 1 200hrs and Level 2 Advanced BWY Diploma courses.

Her background is exclusively Sun Power Yoga, Hatha, and specialist areas of expertise. She is a passionate and inspiring teacher who is hard working and honest in her approach to students and colleagues.

Carl Slater from Northampton is an experienced Sun Power and Astanga teacher and practitioner.

He has worked with all the great Astanga teachers including Danny Paradise, John Scott, David Swenson, Pratabi Jois and Beryl Bender Birch. He is a humble and quite man with a great sense of humour and integrity. We are delighted to have him on board in Spain this year and on our courses in the UK. Carl will be assisted in Spain by:

Jo Bell from Derbyshire who is an Advanced Sun Power and BWY accredited teacher. Jo speaks Spanish after living for 18 years in South America. She is a calm and experienced teacher of yoga who we all get on with brilliantly!

Jackie Alexander is from London and is taking over as our Student liaison. Her role is to both support and work with students on their course emotionally and physically. She is a bubbly and enthusiastic member of any course!

Courses will be running in Greece and Spain as well as those here in the UK.

There is a possibility of a course running in the year 2010 in Goa India...will keep you posted.

We are about to launch a Resources Section for Teachers and Student teachers, This will involve you having a password to access this corner, we will let you know when this is available. We would like to ask all teachers to contribute articles, essays and pictures including movies to this section.

A special 14 days for Sun Power Yoga Teachers and the Serious Student.

I am organising the long awaited Yoga Teacher Retreat in GOA INDIA for March/April 2009.

The dates we are looking at are the Saturday 29th March to the 11th April 2009.

The location is at the unspoilt end of Goa beach. Accommodation is a traditional hut with a sea and beach view. There will a chance to visit local temples and historic areas of interest and to experience yoga in the Mother land.

Practising yoga in its Birthplace is such a wonderful experience! An opportunity to see statues around that depict famous theory and philosophy...to see yoga practiced daily as chanting, Bhakti and Karma yoga...see your Yoga practice come alive and take home a sense of deeper meaning and commitment!!! And to do this with your friends and colleagues is a bonus and a pleasure indeed!

Dean Boswell is in the running for Slimmers world Man of the Year!

Dean started Sun Power Yoga 3 years ago at the starting weight of 24 stone! He was a wonderful yogi who did all the postures with effort. He was graceful and courageous! He has now lost 9stone 14lbs!!! He promotes yoga on radio and sings the praises of our school. Thank you Dean but you were the one who did the work. Congratulations and let's hope you get through the semis this month and get to the final!
